I. DE360 STEM Challenge Immersion Teacher

Englewood, New Jersey
July 9 – July 27
Lead teachers for our STEM Challenge program will be the primary classroom instructors for a one-of-a-kind summer STEM workshop combining hands-on STEM experience for kids and “in the trenches” professional development for teachers. Lead teachers will coordinate and facilitate classes where students learn design, engineering, and coding to meet a series of STEM related challenges. They will introduce fundamental concepts that empower students to bring their ideas to life. Additionally, they will assist adult learners who will be learning how to implement STEM challenges in their own classes using a structured PBL approach.

II. DE360 Summer Connections STEM Enrichment Teacher

Englewood, New Jersey
June 25 – August 3
STEM Enrichment teachers will deliver up to three, 90-minute classes focusing on integrated Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics topics. Successful teachers will find ways to engage a wide range of abilities and interests and to help students to have a fun and educational experience. STEM courses will have an academic foundation, but students will learn in a hands-on environment and learn to appreciate the ways that STEM can spark curiosity and fun. D-E Summer Connections will provide a course outline with some general topics and objectives. The Enrichment Teacher will be expected to provide his or her subject area expertise and to design daily lessons and activities. Successful teachers will create an energetic classroom environment where students enjoy exploring and learning.

III. DE360 Summer Connections Academic Enrichment Coding Teacher
Englewood, New Jersey
June 25 – July 27
The Academic Enrichment program offers an intensive, academic experience in a selected subject area. Each Academic Enrichment course meets five days a week for two-hours a day and is intended for students who have a serious interest in a particular area of study. This year, we will be offering four project-based coding classes focusing on the Javascript and Swift programming languages. Academic Enrichment teachers will be responsible for delivering daily lesson plans as well as assessing student work and preparing end of term grades for students.
