About IForge

Thanks for your interest in iForge.

IForge is designed as an easy way to introduce novice programmers to Physical Computing and microcontroller programming.

It uses a block-based interface (Based on Google’s Blockly) to give kids an easy way to generate Arduino Code. Using a Chrome Plugin (based on the AVR-Dude project), the program can compile and flash code to a connected Arduino Board.

We have bundled in cloud-based storage of apps and packaged a great tutorial tool that includes a practice workspace and videos.

Here are some great things your students can learn using the iForge programming tool…

Loops and variables to get an LED to slowly fade.
Conditional statements to detect if a button is pressed using digitalRead()
Functions and arguments to control a vehicle (goForward)
